TED TRIMBLE COMIC STRIP ART. 1930s. India ink over pencil on illustration board. "Marty n' Pete" is signed Trimble. There are also unsigned Keeping Up With the Joneses comic strips that may be by Ted Trimble. The consignor relates how his grandfather, who was a friend of Pop Momand (the creator of Keeping Up With the Joneses), would sometimes copy Momand's comic strips. The four comic strips are Marty N' Pete : "Drink Wonder Pep," (after) Keeping Up...: Al gets hit by a flower pot; Marty N' Pete: Gran'Paw gets hit in the head with a baseball bat; and (after) Keeping Up...: Al plays poker with three chums.
