2577 6 PC JAPANESE TEA SET. C.1930. Six piece Japanese ceramic tea set, teapot with ribbed eight sided pink body with raised floral decoration and bamboo handle. Five matching handless cups. All marked: Made in Japan. Size: teapot: 7"H with handle. 7"W, 5"D. Cups: 3"H, 2 1/2"Diam. top. Conditon: one cup has 2 cracks, all others good. 50 - 100
2594 2 CHINESE PORCELAIN FIGURES. Pair of standing figures, c.1894-1918, each holding object, dressed in brightly colored robes. Marked: in English and Chinese "China". size: (1) 9 1/4"H, (1) 9 3/4"H. Condition: both with damage and repairs. 50 - 100
2616 BONE SCRIMSHAW BOX. The rectangular bone box box has a scrimshaw engraving of an Oriental woman. Size: 1 1/8" h., 1 1/2" w., 6" l. Condition: one tiny flaw on the bottom right hand side of the lid. 50 - 100
2617 OVAL SCRIMSHAW BOX. The box has a dark wood base with a bone scrimshaw lid. The lid shows an Oriental woman with hands pressed together. Size: 1.5" h., 4"l., 1 3/4" d. Condition: minor scratches on top. 50 - 100
2618 TWO SNUFF BOTTLES. (1) glass snuff bottle with a reverse painted scene of two turtles on each side. (1) glass snuff bottle with a reverse painted scene of a frog by a tree on each side. Both have bead encrusted tops with metal spoons. Each measure: 2" h. Condition: no visible defects. 50 - 100
2619 TWO SCRIMSHAW BOXES. (1) round bone scrimshaw box with a logging camp(?) scene and center star design. Size: 2" h., 1 1/4" d. Condition: good; but inside has a slight discoloration and small flaw at top. (1) round bone scrimshaw box with a with a swimming dolphins scene. Size: 2" h., 1 1/4" d. Condition: no visible defects. 50 - 100
2620 TWO SNUFF BOTTLES. (1) a gourd form snuff bottle with engraved symbols and a silver metal filigree bead encrusted top with a metal spoon. Size: 2" h.Condition: no visible defects. (1) a round horn(?) and bone snuff bottle with a fish motif and a bead encrusted top with a metal spoon. Size: 3" h. Condition: no visible defects; some discolorations on body. 50 - 100
2770 PR ASIAN MALE FIGURES. Pair of Chinese ceramic male figures, seated with pink and yellow enamel decorated clothing. Marks: each marked twice: Chinese calligraphic mark, English mark . Size: 4"H, 3 1/2"W. 2 1/2"D. condition: good. 50 - 100
2801 HONG PUNCH BOWL IN MOUNT. 1897. Chinese export Hong punch bowl in classical gilt bronze (?) footed and handled mount. Bowl decorated on the interior and exterior with scene of port area of Canton, China along the Pearl River. Various Western countries set up trading posts or "hongs" along the banks of the river. These "hongs" were used by foreign merchants as warehouses, offices and residences. The flags flying represent the countries of the merchants. The area between the hongs and the river was called the Respondentia Walk. This was the only area of the city where foreigners were permitted to travel freely. The flags on the bowl include those of the United States, France and Sweden. The bowl is underglaze decorated with raised enamel highlights on flags and clouds. There is an overall fine cracklure. The interior top rim is decorated with a band of iron red stylized flowers and gilt pendant decorated band. The exterior base is decorated with the same pattern. The exterior top rim is decorated with a thin iron red band. The bronze mount rests on four scrolled feet below an acanthus and scroll decorated base. Two pierced handles also have acanthus and scrolled decoration. The top rim of the mount has a band of oval pierced decoration and segmented gadrooned highlights. Marked: the bowl is marked on the bottom with an iron red stylized crown mark above lines which suggest a JUWC. A banderole below this mark is dated 1897. An identical mark in the form of a raised metal tag appears on the interior rim of the metal base. Size: bowl: 7"H, 14"Diam. top. Mount: 10"H around bowl, 13 1/4"H to top of handles, 16 1/2"Diam. top of bowl, 24"W from handle to handle. Condition: metal in good condition, bowl with no visible cracks or chips. Age appropriate wear overall. 2,500 - 5,000
2803 CHINESE PORCELAIN PLATE. Chinese porcelain plate with three moth/butterflys forming framework for interior medallion featuring group of flying cranes, border in shades of yellow, pink, green with gilt highlights. Marked: red calligraphic marks on back. Size: 9 3/4"Diam. Condition: wear to gilt. 100 - 200
2804 CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE VASE. Tall slender famille rose vase, four quadrants on main body of vase, two with figural groups, two with flower and bird decoraiton, two raised gilt lion heads with rings on body of vase, flared neck. No mark. Size: 10 1/4"H, 4"Diam. widest part, 2 3/4"Diam. top, 2 1/2"Diam. base. Condition: fleabite on top rim, wear to gilt lion heads. 100 - 200

2987 THREE SNUFF BOTTLES. All are glass with reverse painted scenes. Two have swimming fish scenes and one has a lobster. All have bead encrusted tops set in metal filigree with metal spoons. Size of all: 2 1/8" h., 1.5" d. Condition: one of the fish scenes has a tiny flaw above the fish; otherwise no visible defects. 75 - 150
2988 THREE SNUFF BOTTLES. All are glass and have reverse painted scenes with bead encrusted tops set in metal filigree with metal spoons. One shows a parrot; one shows two birds on a branch, and one an Oriental scholar sitting on a bank. Size of parrot bottle: 3" h., 1.5" w. Birds: 3 1/4" h., 1.5" w. Scholar: 3" h., 1.5" w. 2989 TWO BONE SNUFF BOTTLES. One has a spider web engraved on both sides with a bead encrusted metal filigree top and a metal spoon. 3267 CHINESE HORNBILL SNUFF FLASK. Chinese hornbill snuff flask on rosewood hanging stand, carved bird in tree motif, hangs from carved chain. No mark. Size: stand: 8"H, 3"W, 2 1/4"D.
