Table elaborately carved, resting on pierce carved ends, mirror image animal stretcher bases, center carved female with two putti and fruit between two sphinx headed bare breasted forms with frieze of vegetation. Each end top with rectangular carved panel of reclining female nude. One side Hope (figure with anchor) and one side Faith (figure with cross). Acanthus carved band below table top, top inlaid with blocks of alternating grained wood in a checkerboard pattern. Top also has outer band of interlace, belleflower and bead decoration. Top of each short end pulls out for fitted extension panels with pegged and metal fittings. Extension panels have no decoraiton. Marked: (branded) Rosel.
