Shows a short haired man with an earring in each ear, wearing a blue coat
and two military stars on his breast. The one medal appears to be a War
Cross (?) while the other medal is backed with a laurel wreath. Perhaps
Napoleon 3rd era. This has been in the same French family for generations.
Commercial colorman's stamp is on the canvas verso. Size: oval 29" h.,
