75 LORI HORNELL FANTASY DRAWING. 20th c. Pen/ink, watercolor, fabric. Signed upper left corner "Hornell." Lori Hornell is a Point Breeze artist who has exhibited throughout Pittsburgh. She is one half of the Hankin-Hornell Gallery in Pittsburgh. This "fantasy" drawing resembles a cross between Indian manuscript illustration and children's illustrator Maurice Sendak. 141 MICHAEL SKOP SELF PORTRAIT DRAWING. 20th c. Pencil drawing, signed lower right. Also there is a long inscription that parallels the brooding nature of the portrait: "I am alone in my thoughts..." Skop (Ohio, 1932-) is a listed sculptor, was a pupil of Ivan Mestrovic, and this drawing was a featured artwork in a Brecksville Art Gallery exhibition. Skop taught in Cincinnati. 329 DISNEY CEL: SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959). This movie production cel is from the 1959 feature length Disney movie. It shows King Stefan angrily adjusting his crown. The lot consists of the acetate cel and a photomechanical background after the original background painting. A tag on the back reads "This is an original handpainted celluloid drawing actually used in a Walt Disney production, released exclusively by Disneyland, 1313 Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, California." 330 DISNEY CEL: SLEEPING BEAUTY (1959). This is a movie production cel from the Walt Disney feature length film. It shows jolly, fat King Hubert and King Stefan laughing. There are three acetate sheets to comprise this animated moment; the background is a photomechanical reproduction after the original background painting. Treaster enjoyed Eakins' work a great deal, referring to him in a 1970s newspaper article and, serendipitously, finding this same painting chosen in 1976 for a Butler Institute Medal of Merit (Youngstown, Ohio) by thePennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts' Richard Boyle (where Eakins had taught) (Youngstown "Vindicator" 7/25/1976).
