1952 Pair of hand painted English coronations plates featuring Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, one of only eight pairs created by artist Frederick Wright and one of only six pairs ever offered to the public. Each plate took Mr. Wright "a fortnight to paint". Each plate is signed in the lower right of the image "F.Wright. Both plates have a rich red and gilt border. The center hand painted portraits include Queen Elizabeth II with Windsor Castle in the background, Prince Phillip is shown as the Duke of Edinburgh with H.M.S.
