Offered for auction is a 3 piece Victorian winter suit made of the finest and warmest materials offered at the time. Fine navy woven wool fabric, navy silk velvet burnout with a boston ivy stripe pattern, and navy silk satin trim make up this winter suit. Cut steel buttons with a blue iridescent coating outfit the jackets. Fitted bodice coat made out of the velvet burnout material and lined with ivory silk, has 9 bone stays, ivory silk chiffon ruffles at the wrists (old and weak material), and faint shaping at the shoulders. Winter coat is constructed of the navy wool material with velvet burnout material at the collar, cuffs and pockets.
