.32 or .38 cal. rifle. Octagonal barrel. Brass buttplate with patch box. Functional double set trigger. Engraving on barrel : AW 1866. Barrel 38 1/2" L; Gun 54" L total. Condition: age appropriate wear, minor pitting to metal.

Lot 1580: OVER-UNDER PERCUSSION CAP RIFLE MUSKET
Hunting rifle with over-under design. Top barrel rifled, bottom either worn or unrifled. Dual ramrods. Brass fixtures, including hinged compartment in stock. No marks located. Condition: age appropriate wear, some darkening of metal.

Lot 1581: 1864 PERCUSSION CAP US ARMY MUSKET
Civil war era musket, action works, ramrod. Marks: Wm. Muir & Co. Windsor Locks, CT (lockplate), US with eagle engraving (lockplate), US (buttplate). Barrel 32" L; Gun 48" total. Condition: age appropriate wear, some chips and one crack in wood.

Lot 1582: SHARPS CAVALRY CARBINE
Marks: C.Sharps Pat Oct. 5th 1852; R.S. Lawrence Pat Apriol 12th 1859 (for sight). No other marks located. Action works. Condition: wear to wood particularly under barrel, dulling and wear to metal.

Lot 1583: MAYNARD CARBINE
Circa 1850's/1860's. .36 caliber. Retrofitted to centerfire cartridges. Barrel 26" L; Rifle 46 1/2" L total. Condition: age-appropriate wear, stock in decent shape, little pitting to metal.

Lot 1584: US ARMY SPRINGFIELD RIFLE
Serial number 42069. Action works. Ramrod. Marks: US Springfield (lockplate); US Model 1884 (barrel top); US F 44 (buttplate); 26 (carved in stock). Condition: darkening and pitting to metal, age appropriate wear.

Lot 1585: US ARMY SPRINGFIELD RIFLE
Serial number 538219. Action works. Combination ramrod locks in partial extension to serve as bayonet. Marks: US Sprinfield (lockplate); US Model 1884 (top barrel); US (buttplate); 427 (carved in stock); V P P A with eagle engraving (barrel). Condition: Darkening and pitting to metal, age appropriate wear.

Lot 1586: RARE CALIBER WHITNEY/SPRINGFIELD STYLE ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE
Circa 1870. .43 caliber Spanish centerfire with rolling block design. Roughly 30,000 were produced with most ending up in Latin America. Factory markings and stampings have faded, serial number (39467) and caliber (.43) are clearly marked. Barrel 34" L; Rifle 50" L total. Condition: age-appropriate wear, stock shows signs of normal wear from firing.

Lot 1587: NORTH AFRICAN FLINTLOCK PISTOL
Hand-designed flintlock pistol, may have been apprentice/practice work by gunsmith. Heavily lacquered carved wood, with hand-designed brass fixtures and floral etching on lockplate and barrel. Barrel 9" L; Pistol approx. 16 1/2" L total. Condition: considerable wear to etchings, some discoloration and pitting, ramrod wedged into its storage channel.
Estimate - $150-250

Lot 1588: 1850'S PERCUSSION CAP PISTOL
Haston & Co. percussion cap pistol manufactured for US army. Hinged ramrod design, with brass fittings. Marks: 1852 (stamp on base of barrel), US above SM above P (stamp on barrel), Middtn Conn 1851 (stamp on lockplate), US Haston & Co (stamp on lockplate). Barrel 8 1/2" L; Pistol approx. 15" L total. Condition: Scratches to wood, age-appropriate wear and coloration to metal.

Lot 1589: DOUBLE-BARREL PERCUSSION CAP PISTOL
Decorated double-barreled pistol with percussion cap firing mechanisms. Engraved scenes on lockplates depicts a family of rabbits. Carved decoration on wooden handle, with brass fixtures on underside. Mark: stylized letter A with star above (on both barrels), 4611 (serial number on underside of barrel connection). Condition: missing ramrod, age appropriate wear to wood, coloration and wear to metal.

Lot 1590: FRENCH PIN FIRE REVOLVER
Civil War era (circa 1860's) French-made pin fire revolver. This French gun, manufactured by Eugene Louis Lefaugheux, was used in the American civil war. 12,000 of this model were purchased by the Union Army (some were also purchased by the South). This is the model which was most famously carried by Stonewall Jackson. Modified to be able to fire pin fire ammunition (original design) or the more accurate center fire ammunition. Marks: E. Lefaugheux INVR BREVETE. E over LG in circle stamped on cylinder. Serial number 32462. Condition: missing ring on handle, missing both pin and whatever modification was added to hammer for center fire option, age appropriate wear to metal, two purposeful scratches on metal plate in front of cylinder.

Lot 1591: COLT POCKET REVOLVER
Matching serials #277776 on all visible parts (not wedge). Marks: Colts Patent (under cylinder), 31 CAL (left of trigger), "Address Col Saml Colt New York US America (top of barrel). Action works. Condition: Cylinder engravings considerably worn, wear to cylinder at strike points, considerable coloration and pitting to metal, wedge pin stuck in place-may be replacement given odd sizing.

Lot 1592: MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS NAVY REVOLVER SERIES I
Octagonal barrel, action works. Matching serials 4184 on all visible parts (run of series I was 1 to 4200). Cylinder engraved with naval and cavalry scenes. Mark: Patented Dec 27, 1859 (cylinder); Manhattan Fire Arms Mfg. Co. New York (top of barrel). Barrel 6 1/2" L; Gun approx. 12" L total. Condition: Small metal shiv added to hold wedge tight, age appropriate wear, some pitting and discoloration to metal, wear around barrel where striker falls.

Lot 1593: COLT REVOLVER
Octagonal barrel, floral designs with stagecoach motif on cylinder, action works. MAtching serial #113868 on all visible spots (wedge unknown). Marks: Colts Patent (cylinder and below cylinder). Condition: Age appropriate wear, darkening and wear to metal, barrel engraving shows considerable wear, wedge stuck in place, notable darkening on brass fixtures.
Estimate - $700-1000

Lot 1594: COLT 1860 ARMY REVOLVER
Round barrel, action works. Matching serial #62466 on all visible parts (barrel mark worn, may not be original). Marks: Colts patent (under cylinder); 1860 and M (cylinder, there is more prior to number but unreadable). Barrel 8" L; Gun approx. 14" L total. COndition: Scratches to brass behind trigger, age appropriate wear to metal, some pitting and coloration.
Estimate - $1200-1600

Lot 1596: FRENCH FLINTLOCK PISTOL
Decorated flintlock pistol with inset gold leaf fleur de lys. Carved wood, etched metal pieces with floral decor. Gold leaf insets contain maker mark information and decoration. Mark: FEP OLA VE (barrel top), DO IE EVA (unclear, trigger guard), and unreadable (lockplate). Barrel 8 1/2" L; Total approx. 15" L. Condition: Missing top clamp for flintlock hammer, missing ramrod. Wear to wood, wear and pitting on metal portion, some loss and obscuring of gold leaf.
Estimate - $200-400
